Looking Up

Recently, I’ve seen the Lord move in His mercy. It is always amazing to watch! This has happened many times in my life, but lately, He is just plain showing off! I am humbled, empowered, and truly quite calm about it all.

Once thing that I’ve learned is that Words spoken over you require immense responsibility. Faith, yes. But much more than that. Will you surrender to the Will of God? Will you believe it?

His Word will not return to Him void. It will be fulfilled. You can either agree with it and float down the river, or you can kick against the goad.

Many times, the word spoken is an answer—a confirmation—of something you’ve been praying for or a draw you’ve had (whether you’ve embraced it or not). What is at issue is whether or not you are willing to surrender to His will on the matter? On every matter? On any matter?

Receive the word in humility. It is not meant to puff you up or “self-empower” you. It is meant to center you and make you God aware and God reliant.

He is God. His Will will be done. On Earth as it is in heaven. Give over to Him in actuality. Hold everything loosely. And do not let the fourth dimension—time—wear you down. The sooner you humble yourself the better.

The rules of engagement are the same for everyone.

And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

Hebrews 11:6 NASB

And also this:

But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, “GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.”

James 4:6 NASB

Humility and Faith are required to get anywhere near Him. Jesus is the door, always. Even after you’ve believed in Him—He still remains the door. And we must find Him every day—in every situation.

Believe what He said. Hold onto it. Draw near to Him. His Word will NOT return to Him unfulfilled. There is not one time that the Lord is out of control. He is truly sovereign, no matter how much we try to box Him up.
